Welcome to Trinidad

Welcome to Trinidad. This year I produced a mini-documentary (just one of the many amazing projects I worked on in 2017): The interview room was so hot that sweat was stinging my eyes as I focused the camera. I checked the levels to make sure we were getting clean audio; a stray dog could be heard barking in the distance; Azam started sharing his testimony.

He was raised as a Muslim. He told us that no matter how deeply he searched he could not find the peace or love that he was ultimately searching for in life. He became disillusioned in his quest to find fulfillment, and spiraled into a life of drugs, violence, and hopelessness, which he found in the darker corners of the island. He had lost his way, and was continually plagued by spiritual oppression. At this point God led him to a Cru staff member who gave Azam a bible. This started Azam on a new path, and long story short, he told us that when he encountered the truth of who Jesus really was he could not help but give his life to Christ. This was the God of love, peace, and joy that he had been searching for his whole life.

My finished mini-doc is now being used to develop funds for the global ministries of Cru allowing them to effectively train, equip, and send many more staff/missionaries into the field. Because of you we are connecting people like Azam to a greater story…

As 2017 comes to a close and I look forward to what God has prepared before me, I’m spurred on by the words of Jesus in the back of my mind, “night is coming, when no one can work.” Like many non-profits the donations that I receive at the end of the year make up a significant part of my ministry budget, and they help keep me working full-time in the field. So, I’m trusting Him to provide $5,000 in end-of-the-year donations to help me in connecting more people to Him this next year.

This December, as you reflect on your giving goals, would you please say a quick prayer and see if you feel led to give an extra year-end gift of $500, $250, $100, or whatever amount God has placed on your heart? You can give online at “andrewplasse.org/give”, or if you would like to give by check please contact me: @andrewplasse

You are already praying and giving so generously for my ministry, and I want you to know that regardless of whether you are able to give a year-end gift or not, I’m so grateful to the Lord for you and glad you are on my team. We are in this together.

Thank you.

Connecting people to a greater story,
ANDREW PLASSE
